It feels like October has been the month of the party and we must admit we have had a few very good times. First off was the launch of our new Richmond Space that acts as a store, office and warehouse all in one. The new space is on 14th Street just blocks from our original home in the Shockoe district of downtown Richmond. The building was built in 1865 and was the site of Watkins Cottrell Hardware, which became one of the largest businesses downtown during reconstruction. It’s a perfect space with original beams and bricks and we are flanked by a series of great businesses (La Diff , Ten Thousand Villages and These Four Walls). We are excited to be downtown and a part of the renaissance that is happening in the district. For the launch party we had 100 plus friends and customers come by the space and enjoy a bourbon bar and some funk and soul 45s. The party went on to mid-night and was one of hopefully many good times to come in the future. Photos by Brian McDaniel of Dirty Richmond.
