Father's Day Special - Michael Alsop & Katelyn James
Father’s Day is a day to honor and celebrate the incredible fathers and mentors that we have in our lives. This year, we set up a special surprise for a father of two and long-time customer, Michael Alsop.
Michael found out about Ledbury during his time as the Assistant to the President of Christopher Newport University, Paul Trible Junior. Yes – the father of Ledbury’s CEO and co-founder, Paul Trible III. He recalls Ledbury’s first year in business and remembers Ledbury being at the top of his list when Christmas and his birthday came around. He has found confidence in the quality of Ledbury product, stating that all his Ledbury shirts have always “been top notch”. From the beginning, Michael’s been a big fan of the brand and we are grateful for his continued support.
Michael’s wife Katelyn started her own photography business when she was just a Junior in college; photographing, blogging, and providing photo education to her followers. After the continued success and growth of the business, Michael moved behind the lens and joined his wife’s business venture, Katelyn James Photography. When our team got the first glimpse of The Short Sleeve Wyman Printed Chambray, we knew that Michael would be a big fan.
With Katelyn’s help, our team was able to surprise Michael with this shirt and pull off “the best surprise!” Katelyn gifted the shirt to Michael and set up a family photo shoot with their children, Evy (2 years old) and Graham (7 weeks old), to be featured in our Father’s Day email. It’s apparent in these photos why Michael’s definition of family is “dedication”. “It starts with the marriage,” Michael says, “When kids come into the picture you see a whole new level of dedication. It’s such an amazing reminder that we get to choose to be dedicated to our kids and love them in the way that they need for whatever season they are in”.
