Despite popular opinion, we love January here at Ledbury HQ. The hectic and draining holiday season is finally behind us, we finally have a reason NOT to eat cookies, and we don't have to look at another holiday sweater for another 12 months. It's also the best time of year to take stock of the past year and set groundwork for the year ahead, and yes, that means setting resolutions. We figured every good goal needs an accompanying soundtrack to fully achieve, so we asked Team Ledbury to share what they vow to remain resolute with in 2016 along with their current music pick. Read (and listen) on below! Elisabeth Edelman, VP of Branding & Communications My goal for 2016 is to work on the art of focus. There are always a millions projects, texts, emails, ideas. I want to hone in on those that are the most meaningful and give those my undivided attention. In 2015, I read the book Essentialism by Greg McKeown - I read it twice. Lessons from that book on identifying, projecting and nurturing your highest point of contribution will be my guide as I adopt this practice. Song: “Stay A Little Longer” by the Brothers Osborne. This song puts me in such a good mood. That's how I want to start 2016. Happy and hopeful. Will Altherr, Marketing Manager My New Year's Resolution is to learn fluent Spanish and to get back into better shape. Therefore, it would only be appropriate to use a motivational theme song such as "Eye of the Tiger" for my song to help motivate me to get back into the gym and to learn Spanish. I can see the music video now... Lauren Manning, E-Commerce Manager Travel more, even if it's a quick weekend drive or getaway. Songs: I'm digging Jason Isbell's album, Something More Than Free. the first two tracks are on repeat for me ("If It Takes a Lifetime" and "24 Frames"), but the whole album is awesome. I don’t know if this is my personal soundtrack right now though, ha! Not necessarily uplifting. Juliana Cole, Intern I have two:
  1. My resolution is to land a job after graduation and move out west with Matt. I'm really excited to move somewhere and have the both of us not know anyone and kind of start over! Song: Father John Misty "Chateau Lobby #4"
  2. To embody more Yeezy season.

This past year has been a busy one with a lot of planning. I’m looking forward to getting out there and do some doing. Keep it simple, weird, and straight ahead. Song: "Ramble Tamble" by Creedence Clearwater Revival
