We've been in the same circles with Brad for a while here in Richmond. Recently we got the opportunity to sit down with him and see what makes him tick. He's a marketing guru, after all. With a wide scope of experience from online banking to compression sleeves, he's seen nearly everything. Join in as we catch up with Brad and learn about his story.
What do you do and what do you find most rewarding about it?
I am an operational consultant, which means helping companies and brands with marketing strategy & execution, using data to drive decisions. I really enjoy looking at very diverse industries and finding commonalities between them. In the last year, I have worked with a compression sleeve brand, a government agency, a teen makeup brand, and an apparel brand.
What advice would you give your 20-year-old self?
Find out what you truly love & then acquire skills towards that. I dropped out of the University of Richmond around that age and it was the best thing for me, as I discovered what I truly needed to know for my passions (as I then returned to UR two years later from Hawaii & took those classes, having my best year yet).
What is your idea of perfect happiness?
It’s probably spending time near the ocean with my family of 3 (wife and 2 daughters). There’s just something about the ocean that slows me down & gives me the necessary space to unwind and think about what’s next. My wife says she can see my pulse drop, haha . . .
